Meet Dr. Kangai

Dr. Kankayaliyan (Kangai) Thillaiyampalam, DVM

Kangai was born and raised in Sri Lanka and graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Peradeniya, in 2008. He completed the veterinary internship program and worked as both a veterinarian and an assistant lecturer for several years before immigrating to Canada in 2012 to pursue higher studies. He completed a Master of Science in Biochemistry and animal nutrition, then went on to complete the Canadian and American veterinary licenses.

He enjoys helping pets who can’t express themselves and likes the challenges and satisfaction of succeeding with difficult cases. He has particular interests in surgery (special interest in orthopaedic surgery), diagnostic imaging (ultrasound), and dentistry. During his free time, he enjoys watching cricket, working out, and watching NBA and UFC.
