We Look Forward To Your
Next Visit
Upon arrival, our friendly receptionist will greet you and your pet, register you and then take you to one of our examination rooms. Our registered animal health technologist (nurse) will then come in and take your pet’s initial history and vital signs. The veterinarian will then come in and review the history, perform the physical exam and review the required diagnostic tests or treatment that should be completed.
The animal health technologist will then return to review a cost estimate for services and obtain your consent to proceed with the treatment plan. We offer a complete range of services that allows total care of your pet. Our staff is enthusiastic about making your visit as stress free as possible for both you and your pet.
What if I do not show up for my appointment?
We have a strict no-show policy at our clinic. If you have missed a booked appointment with us without contacting us to cancel 24 hours prior, it is considered a ‘No Show’. After 3 misses no-shows we will then ask for you to pre-pay for exams and 50% of surgeries at the time of booking going forward.
What is your cancelation policy?
We require at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the appointment. We do understand things change last minute, if you know you are unable to make a scheduled appointment, we encourage you to call us right away so we can open the spot to another patient.
What if I am late for the appointment?
If you arrive 10 minutes late or more, you may be asked to reschedule the appointment. The allotted appointment times are based on type of appointment and doctors a schedule, and we want to make sure not only your pet, but others get the full care and attention.
If you are running late, we kindly encourage you to call us and let us know.
Tips For Bringing Your Pet To the Veterinarian
Upon arrival to any veterinary clinic, dogs should be controlled on a leash and cats should be in a carrier. This prevents any unwanted interaction with other animals and people at the clinic. Many of the pets at the clinic are not well, and do not appreciate the attention of others in an already stressful situation. Pet Foods Available In Stock
At Properties Animal Clinic, we believe in using food as medicine. We have a variety of therapeutic foods that help treat a wide range of diseases. We carry Hill’s Prescription Diets, Royal Canin, and Purina Veterinary Diets in formulas for all life-stages of your pets and all of their medical needs. Using nutrition can help reduce or eliminate the need for medications with some diseases.
We do not carry raw food diets and welcome discussions regarding its use. If you would like to avoid commercial kibble, we encourage home-cooked diets. We can help direct you toward appropriate recipes with vitamin and mineral premixes that help ensure a nutritionally balanced meal.
Food Returns
- If there is a palatability concern, you can return the food if it is still over half full and within 30 days of purchase.
- Unopened cans of food can be brought back for return as well.
- Food must be returned in original packaging.
Over The Counter Products
All non-food products (including nail clippers, Adaptil/Feliway, Shampoo, etc..) are final sale and not eligible for returns.
Special Orders
We are unable to return any special orders placed through us or our Vet Store.
Prescriptions & Supplements
All Prescriptions and Supplements are unable to be returned/refunded after leaving the clinic as per the law of ABVMA.
Pet Insurance Direct Billing
Properties Animal Clinic is one of the first clinics in Alberta to offer Trupanion Express, which allows immediate direct billing to Trupanion so you only pay for the portion you owe at the time of treatment.
